Welcome to EB.app! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our personal budgeting platform. We've written this in plain English to make it easy to understand.

1. About Our Service

EB App LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates:

  • my.eb.app - Our budgeting application (web and PWA)
  • EB Mobile Apps - Available on Apple App Store and Google Play Store

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using EB.app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our service.

Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to use EB.app. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Our Service

What We Provide

EB.app is a personal budgeting tool that helps you:

  • Track income and expenses
  • Create budgets and forecasts
  • View financial data through charts and reports
  • Export your data in JSON or CSV formats

What We DON'T Provide

Important: We do NOT provide:

  • Financial advice or recommendations
  • Investment guidance
  • Tax advice
  • Connection to bank accounts or financial institutions

We are a budgeting tool only. Any financial decisions you make are your sole responsibility.

4. Pricing and Payment

Free Version

The web version at my.eb.app is completely free.

Mobile App Subscription

  • Price: $2.99 USD per month
  • Billing: Handled exclusively through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
  • Cancellation: Manage through your app store account

We don't process payments directly. All billing issues should be addressed with your app store provider.

5. Your Account

Creating Your Account

You must provide accurate, complete information when registering. You're responsible for:

  • Maintaining strong, unique passwords
  • Keeping login credentials confidential
  • All activity under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of unauthorized access

Two-Factor Authentication

We offer TOTP-based two-factor authentication. We strongly recommend enabling this feature for added security.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account anytime through:

  • Account settings in my.eb.app
  • Emailing support@eb.app

When you delete your account:

  1. Your account is immediately marked for deletion
  2. All data is permanently deleted within 24 hours
  3. You'll receive confirmation when deletion is complete
  4. This process cannot be reversed

6. Privacy and Data

Your Data, Your Control

  • You own your budget data
  • We only access data when you request support
  • We never share your data with third parties
  • We don't use analytics or tracking services

How We Use Data

We may:

  • Count total active users (anonymized)
  • Access your account for support (only when you request)
  • Send service-related emails (account management, updates)
  • Send optional push notifications (mobile apps only)

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use EB.app only for personal budgeting. You will NOT:

  • Use our service for commercial purposes
  • Share, sell, or distribute your account access
  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or harm our service
  • Upload malicious content or code
  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Impersonate others or provide false information
  • Use our service to launder money or facilitate illegal activities

Violation may result in immediate account termination.

8. Intellectual Property

Our Property

We own all rights to:

  • The EB.app platform and software
  • Our logos, trademarks, and branding
  • All code, design, and functionality

Your License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our service for personal budgeting only. This license ends if you violate these Terms.

Your Content

You retain ownership of your budget data. By using our service, you grant us permission to store and process your data solely to provide our budgeting service.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations

No Warranties

EB.app is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Accuracy of calculations (please verify important figures)
  • Suitability for your specific needs
  • Complete security (though we implement industry standards)

No Financial Advice

CRITICAL DISCLAIMER: We do NOT provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Our service is a calculation and organization tool only. Always consult qualified professionals for financial decisions.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past month
  • We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • We're not responsible for lost profits or data loss
  • We're not liable for decisions you make based on using our tool

Exceptions: These limitations don't apply to liability we can't legally exclude, such as for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from any claims arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any laws or third-party rights

10. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but don't guarantee it. We may:

We'll try to provide advance notice when possible.

11. Geographic Availability and International Use

EB.app is currently available to users accessing the service from within the United States while we complete legal and regulatory compliance review for additional regions. We plan to expand internationally in the future.

12. Dispute Resolution

Arbitration Agreement

Please read carefully: You agree that any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, not court proceedings.

Exceptions: Small claims court actions and injunctive relief for intellectual property violations.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Wyoming law, excluding conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. When we do:

  • We'll update the "Effective Date"
  • Updated Terms will be posted at eb.app/terms
  • Continued use means acceptance of new Terms
